salted caramel white hot chocolate {phemomenon.com} #HorizonHoliday #recipe

Recipe coming soon – tune in to the Twitter chat for details on how you can make this at home!

Every year I seem to see the holidays coming a mile (or months) away. Every year they creep right up on me anyway. Go figure. I’m happy to be able to get a little more prepared in advance this year and hope this event will help inspire you as well! (Frankly, I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone else has to say because other people’s traditions are always so fascinating to me!).

Tomorrow I’ll be helping host a Twitter chat with Horizon Organic – they have a wonderful website with a lot of helpful information so if the issues surrounding milk and dairy have concerned you then their site will be a great resource for you!

(Disclosure: Although I am being compensated for my participation in this event, Horizon Organic is a product I purchase for my family and I have not been provided with any other product from the company – what’s in my fridge is what we buy. My opinions and participation are as always 100% my own and painfully honest.)

To join us on the Twitter chat tomorrow, Thursday, November 21st just tune in at 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. MST and follow me, @PheMom and @Horizon_Organic or search for the special #HorizonHoliday hashtag.

#HorizonHoliday Twitter ChatThere will be some fun swag being given away during the Twitter chat tomorrow LIVE during the event. I would absolutely love to connect with you during the event!

Even if you can’t make it to the chat, Horizon Organic has been generous and is offering a prize pack of all the swag being given away during the chat tomorrow for one of my lucky readers!

Remember, to join us on the chat tomorrow just tune in at 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. MST and follow me, @PheMom and @Horizon_Organic or search for the special #HorizonHoliday hashtag.

And if that Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate in the first picture looks and sounds heavenly to you, be sure to stop in during the chat to find out how I make it, but don’t worry, I’ll be posting the recipe soon as well!

Our favorite family holiday tradition is having a nice Christmas, candle light dinner with candles and our lights on the tree and mantle.

It’s one we haven’t done in awhile, but growing up we always had a penny auction the week before Christmas. My grandma would pick up random little things at yardsales throughout the year and wrap them up. Then everyone would get 10 pennies, and could bid on the presents. It was lots of fun, and one I hope to bring back next year now that we live near family again.

We celebrate St. Nicholas day on December 6th. I look forward to it every year. It was one of my favorite things when I was a little girl, and now that I get to be St. Nick for my family, it’s even more fun!

It would be baking cookies and wrapping them up to send to friends out of state.

I have so many favorite holiday traditions that it would be so hard for me to just pick one! I do love my family’s tradition of getting together a weekend or two before Christmas and spending the entire weekend baking holiday treats to share with friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, etc. I love that extra time with my family and I love sharing our creations with others.
