Back-to-School Survival with #Popsicle & More {#spon} + GIVEAWAY

by Holly on September 2, 2013

DISCLOSURE: I was invited to be a Popsicle® Mom Ambassador and have been sharing ideas for fun, crafts and cool treats with you. I am being compensated for my participation but as always my opinions and experiences are 100% my own. Thank you for coming along for the ride!

Twenty *official* days of Summer left. The Autumn Equinox is coming whether I really want it to or not… although I think I’m getting more ready than I felt last week. Probably mostly has to do with these two starting school!

As awful as it sounds, we have already started with some sore throats around here and though that definitely isn’t fun, it is probably one of the reasons that Popsicles are a staple in our freezer. So, even if you are sad about summer coming to an end, there is always a good excuse to enjoy a frozen treat and numb that scratchy throat. My favorite for when we need a little Popsicle TLC are the classic flavors – luckily everyone has their favorite and there isn’t a lot of arguing. I’m a fan of the Banana, Aidan loves the Lime and Cole is all about the Root Beer. Any of the flavors just take me back to when I was a kid and ate the Popsicles whenever I had to stay home sick from school. It’s a simple, comforting memory.

I’m still going to drag it out and enjoy the last of summer, but I’m also starting to look forward to Fall now too. Which is what I’ve started adding to my Pinterest board I mentioned last week.

Other tricks that are in our Back-to-School survival repertoire to get us back on track for school and the coming season change is this Sleep Baby Genius app that is really helping the kids calm down during their bedtime routine at night, and using the new Weelicious Luches book to pack Aidan’s lunch for school – you can see more lunch ideas as I’m posting them on my Instagram, but I suggest going straight to the source and visiting Weelicious.com for tons of ideas you and your kids will love.

Everyone can use a few extra bucks this time of year, along with some coupons to save money on getting the treats you want, so I have one more giveaway for you from Popsicle as well, so give it another shot!
